The Young Women's Transitional Home of Moore County, NC is a residential program that supports and meets the needs of Young Women ages 18-24. We provide a safe, nourishing and empowering environment to serve females who are:

Our Objectives
The TambraPlace Young Women's and Young Men's Transitional Homes of Moore County, NC is a residential program that supports and meets the needs of young women and young men, ages 18-24. We provide a safe, nurturing and empowering environment to serve youth who are:

Potential Abuse Victims
Education
We assist with making progress toward a GED or high school diploma as well as support exploration of post-secondary education or vocational studies that fit long term goals.
Life Skills
We help youth see a positive, achievable path to personal freedom and independence instilling life skills like: time management, meal planning, organization, managing a cell phone and how to qualify for a driver's license.
Career
We assist in finding and maintaining employment that matches skillsets and career aspirations. We teach how to create a resume, interview for jobs, negotiate a salary and build confidence in moving in the direction of their dreams.
Finance
We teach personal responsibility in financial management and assist with goal setting, budgeting and opening a bank account, giving each young woman the tools necessary to understand and navigate this important component to life.
Community
We offer mentorship in cultivating a portfolio of community-based resources to use after completing the program and transitioning to independence which includes volunteering in the community.
Self Care
We work to build upon the social, physical, emotional and spiritual strengths of eligible young women and affirm their worth.We challenge each woman to grow in ways they likely have not considered and instill skills for self care.
