Tambra Place Summer Newsletter

Greetings and Happy June from Tambra Place! We're excited to share the latest updates, celebrations, and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of homeless and at-risk youth in Moore County.

Mission

Tambra Place’s Mission is to provide a charitable, safe, nurturing, social learning environment for homeless, unaccompanied, and at-risk youth in Moore County, ages 18-24. We view “homeless” or “unaccompanied” youth as those who are no longer living with a biological parent(s) or another relative, and often are “couch-surfing.” We partner with community agencies to assist these unaccompanied youth in the Sandhills area.

Did you know? TambraPlace has housed 10 youth over the past 3 years and has assisted 24 additional youth in the community by providing resources over the past 6 months.

Celebrations

Congratulations again to our TambraPlace college and high school graduates!

Tambra Place celebrated three graduations amongst our youth in May and June. Two graduated from high school and one from college. One of our high school graduates is enrolling in a trade certificate program, and the other will be attending Sandhills Community College. Our college graduate is already employed in the medical field.

TambraPlace is seeking donations to provide direct assistance to these and other residents. 100% of our Paypal donation funds go towards helping our residents and supporting youth in our community outreach program. If you would like to donate, please click here or mail donations to: TambraPlace, PO Box 4324, Pinehurst, NC 28374.

Thank you to our recurring donors, our Amazon donors who helped provide graduation gifts, and our one-time donors. We could not support our youth’s dreams without you.

Stay Tuned! Another home is coming!

Coming 12/2025: Another safe space for unaccompanied resilient young women in Moore County. More details to come. Help us make it happen by joining the mission of TambraPlace.

Urgent Need

The TambraPlace Foundation's Direct Payment Assistance Fund is running very low. This fund is crucial in providing immediate financial support to those in urgent need within our community.

How You Can Make a Difference:

  • Make a Financial Donation: Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact. Your generosity helps us provide essential support quickly and efficiently. Donate today.

  • Share Our Mission: Help us spread the word about the importance of this fund. The more people who know about our cause, the more support we can gather.

Other Needs

Tambra Place uses ACS church/nonprofit accounting software. If interested contact us here: https://forms.gle/rCuR19iPmurkLokj9

Join our Fundraising Committee: The fundraising committee will organize various events throughout the year to help fund Tambra Place’s programs and projects and pay for operational expenses for the homes.
